I began my internship with ID&C and identilam in July 2022 as a Product Development and Marketing Intern across the two brands. My role predominantly involved creating graphics for email marketing, social media and website work, and developing the current product range, as well as new products, but throughout my year my role has massively developed, and I’ve been involved in almost every department I could get myself into!

Since starting at ID&C, I’ve been involved in so many amazing projects; one of the most incredible experiences of my placement was managing a project in the Motorsport industry, where I oversaw the delivery of the clients order. I was then was lucky enough to attend the event too, providing me with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to one of the biggest Motorsport events in the world.

When not at crazy events across the world, I’ve been based in the office, in Tunbridge Wells. I moved away from home for the year, and the whole office was incredibly friendly and welcoming, even despite our ‘Northern’ v Southern language barrier!! From the constant provision of snacks, Fat Fridays (Domino’s for lunch!), dog days in the office, PE Club, and generally getting involved in fun activities across the year, I can’t thank everyone enough for how friendly they have been, welcoming me to Tunbridge Wells and the business, and I couldn’t have had a better experience!  

I’ve been able to develop skills I’d never even considered – moving out and dealing with proper ‘adulting’ life, developing career enhancing skills, creating a network of incredible people throughout the events industry and my overall confidence within myself has all massively developed. The exposure I’ve had this year has massively changed the direction I thought my career would head prior to my placement, experience that can’t be learnt in a classroom, and I’ve only been able to gain through my internship here.

Since beginning my internship, I have been exposed to some of the most amazing events and experiences, and have developed a wide range of skills to help me thrive in the working world, post-university as well as making friends for life - I never thought I’d be the one to say this, but I’m so excited to see where life after university takes me!
