
Last week, ID&C's custom designed RFID wristbands featured at Google's Creative Sandbox, an exclusive beach party hosted during the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.
Working with leading RFID system providers Intelligent Venue Solutions, the RFID wristbands helped to monitor and control access for over 1,400 VIPs during the five-day beach event.
The micro-chipped wristbands enabled organisers to identify the exact number of guests within the area at any one time - an essential requirement for the strict-capacity venue.
Beach-Ready Wearable Tech
As well as getting first-hand experience of the latest in wearable tech, Google's guest list experienced zero queuing times thanks to the RFID system's lightning fast speeds.
ID&C's RFID wristbands are no stranger on the shore, having featured at US beach-based festivals Bamboozle and Hangout. Luckily for organisers, the RFID tags are 100% waterproof and capable of withstanding even the most 'energetic' of audiences.
Creative agency Flourish were responsible for delivering the activation, which featured the latest innovations from Google and its partners, as well as a host of TED talks and a line-up of live music including performances from Emile Sandé and Goldierocks.
