While you're sitting back with a cup of tea enjoying a light read, what's your four-legged friend up to? Are your pets so well trained that you can you be 100% sure they aren't rifling through the rubbish for a snack, tearing your sofa to pieces or peeing on your favourite cushion? Sounds familiar doesn't it?

Don't feel too foolish, you’re not alone; 23% of pet owners leave their pooch unattended at home for more than 5 hours a day during the week. That’s something like 1,200 hours a year - more than enough time to cause some serious damage.

At ID&C we're a business of pet lovers, so it makes sense that we've come up with a solution to all your pet problems. With our new RFID collar you can train your pet 24/7, meaning you can actually enjoy some down time with your friends without worrying your house will be trashed on your return.

The RFID Pet Collar transmits harmless signals that are picked up by readers strategically positioned within your home. You can place the readers anywhere you like, so if your pooch has a habit of emptying the bin you can position a reader right next to it. Then, when the reader senses your pet is close you will receive a push notification or text message to your mobile, giving you a number of customised options that will activate the reader back at home. You will be able to choose to:

  1. Write out a text scolding your furry friend; 'DOG, get away from the bin!'
  2. Send a sound i.e. A whistle to divert your pet's attention.
  3. Activate a feeding point elsewhere in the house to draw your pet away.
  4. Spray your pet with water to let it know who's boss! (Particularly effective with cats).

Director/ Head of RFID Steve Daly says: “After seeing how much of a positive impact RFID has had for our clients over the last five years, we’re delighted to be able to open up the technology to our clients little friends. Not only does this solution unlock the cat flap, but it also keeps an eye on your four legged friend during the day.”
